Nutan's personal life was intertwined with her illustrious career in Indian cinema. She married Lieutenant-Commander Rajnish Bahl of the Indian Navy on 11 October 1959. Their union blessed them with a son, Mohnish, born on 14 August 1961, who followed in his mother's footsteps to become a prominent television and film actor. Mohnish is married to actress Ekta Sohini, and their daughter, Pranutan Bahl, carries on the family legacy as a film actress, named after her grandmother, Nutan.
